Skincare Treatments - Microderm Abrasion

The Albuquerque Center for Plastic Surgery has a variety of skin care treatments. One of our most popular is Microdermabrasion - also known as a Parisian Peel. This treatment uses a precision handpiece to direct a stream of very fine crystals and mild suction exactly where needed on your skin. The gentle abrasive action of the crystals combines with the suction to remove the dead outer layer of your skin while bringing smoother, softer skin to the surface.

A Microdermabrasion is not a chemical, laser, or surgical procedure. It doesn't involve any “down time”, and you can return immediately to your daily activities. This treatment is ideal for many skin problems including sun damage, age spots, fine lines and other superficial blemishes. The Parisian Peel is only available to physicians.

Microdermabrasion can be done as a single treatment, or we offer a series of six treatments for the price of five. All of our skin care treatments are especially designed for each patient. Our licensed Aesthetician will assess your skin condition prior to any treatment, and consultations are always complimentary.

DermaSweep MD System uses a variable-level vacuum system and an assortment of treatment tips, the DermaSweep wand gently lifts the skin against the appropriate treatment tip, removing the topmost layer of skin. The system then vacuums away the dead skin in a precise and controlled manner. The skin is left smoother as the vacuum action of the wand stimulates blood flow, cleans the pores and moves the skin debris to a HEPA filter. The increased blood flow to the skin's surface encourages collagen formation thus firming and toning the epidermis as well. Using the Epi-Infusion option, skin specific treatments can also be applied to the skin during exfoliation.
